Location: This school is situated in the borough of Hampstead to the North of London. It is a short walk from the central hub of the area, where all the shops, bars, cafes and restaurants are located. The building itself is a Victorian building with a spacious garden for students to enjoy during their break.
Getting around: Hampstead has a tube station on the Northern Line, which is eight minutes from LSI by foot. This reaches Charing Cross Station directly in 25 minutes. West Hampstead is a 25-minutes walk from the school building. From here, students can take the Thameslink Train service, the overground or the Jubilee underground line. Hampstead is in travel zone two and three.
City attractions: Hampstead Heath is a large green space within the area, which is 15 minutes from the school. Students can enjoy this space as well as views over London from Parliament Hill. The major features of London can be located by using the intricate transportation system that runs throughout the city.
Courses: This school is set up for junior programmes throughout the summer or winter holidays. It is possible for students to book a package with accommodation or without. The tuition only courses can be stand alone or include an activity package.
School facilities: The school building has a lounge, self-study area, student computers, library and coffee machine. There is free wifi throughout the building, and modern classrooms for optimal learning.
Social programme: LSI provides a social programme for students throughout their stay. The majority of the activities are free, but some do cost extra for the entrance fee to a particular attraction or for a longer excursion to a nearby city.

Other comments: The organization is a disaster. Being in an Adult course for only 1 week, I expected better adaptation to my type of course, but my experience has been disappointing. The first day was practically lost doing the level test, something which only required 20 minutes. Some teachers just put films in English, something that I already do at home. I shouldn't go all the way to London an spend my money to do something I can do at home for free.
On the other hand, I was not shown the results of my test, neither the teachers knew which people were finishing their courses. Mine didn't know I was leaving when I said goodbye.
Finally, at other schools I've been abroad, the leisure activities are voluntary and free, that is, they are included in the general and intensive course, being an interesting offer to socialise with your classmates in certain sports , activities or some guided excursion to get to know the city.

Visa Documents
Nationals from Italy do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 20. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.

Nationals from countries that require a visa will receive documents from the school, related to booking confirmation, which is required for the visa application.
