Venue: Rosemead College is located in the San Gabriel Valley, just fifteen minutes from downtown Los Angeles, in the city of Rosemead. In its location just east of the famed city, Rosemead College is close to the California Institute of Technology (CalTech) and the well-known Pasadena Art Centre. Rosemead is also home to the main campus of the first Buddhist university in the United States, the University of the West (UWest), founded in 1990. The school is about an hour away from Los Angeles International Airport by car, or an hour and forty minutes by public transportation.
Courses: Rosemead College offers general ESL programmes and exam preparation courses for the TOEFL and TOEIC exams. The school also provides more specialised programmes in Business English as well as a Conversation and American Culture course covering many different aspects of day-to-day living in the United States. Rosemead College is approved to issue SEVIS I-20 forms to international students who wish to apply for a F-I visa.
Getting around: The urban areas in and around Los Angeles, including Rosemead, are vast and sprawling. Distances from one place to another can seem endless and as such, the most typical means of transportation is private car.
