Course material
Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €45 per course level.
Comments about courses

The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:
1-6 weeks: EUR 55
7-12 weeks: EUR 95


Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).

Students must book a travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Bristol. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school:

  • Two weeks: EUR 85.
  • Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
    Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.

    Accommodation:
  • The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 55 per week.
  • Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
  • Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.

    Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and may change depending on availability and time of year. The 26 lessons is likely to follow the 20 lessons per week structure with the extra six lessons taking place after the morning classes or before the afternoon classes, two lessons on three days. The afternoon lessons will take place at some point during these hours.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

If a bank holiday falls on a weekday there is no refund nor are missed lessons recuperated. This is the case for the majority of language schools.

A test to assess your exact language level takes place before the start of the course via an online form.

Visa Documents

Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 16. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
Check visa requirements for nationals from other countries.
Nationals from countries that require a visa will receive documents from the school, related to booking confirmation, which is required for the visa application.
