Venue: The programmes for the Cambridge Academy of English (CAE) are held in a traditional English boarding school, in the nearby town of Bedford, about thirty miles west of Cambridge. Cambridge Academy of English has been teaching English to children for more than four decades and many of the children who have attended over the years, have also sent their children to study with CAE. Bedford is a market town on the River Great Ouse, near to both Cambridge and London.
The programmes: Cambridge Academy of English offers residential summer programmes for children and teens from around the globe. Students study English in the mornings, activities and excursions in the afternoons and activities in the evening. With the exception of the excursions, all aspects of the programmes, including residence and meals, take place on campus.
Accreditations and Associations: The school has a long history of teaching English as a foreign language, with over 45 years of experience. Cambridge Academy of English (CAE) is accredited by the British Council and is a member of EnglishUK.
Getting there: When arriving from abroad, London Luton Airport is one of the best options. Bedford is on a direct line from Luton Airport and travel time by rail between the airport and the town is about 30 minutes. The school is located less than a mile from the Bedford Railway Station, about seven minutes away by car, or twenty on foot.
