Location: International House Johannesburg is located in the biggest city of South Africa, Johannesburg. The school is housed in the trendy Parktown neighbourhood, close to the vibrant suburbs of Braamfontein and Rosebank with galleries, rooftop bars, eateries, the Wits Planetarium, the Wits Art Museum and much more. Located close to the University of the Witwatersrand, students have many amenities, links to public transport, and social opportunities close by.
Course selection: General English programmes are available throughout the year to students of all levels. In addition to this, Teacher Training and Exam Preparation programmes may also be available upon request.
Social and cultural: Johannesburg is a historic and culturally rich city and IH Johannesburg embraces it. Some of the most visited sites and attractions of the city include the Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct, the Apartheid Museum, Mandela's House, the Gold Reef City Theme Park, Rosebank Sunday Market, and many more.
Getting around: A short distance from the school, students have the Johannesburg Park train station or Gautrain station. There are multiple bus stops around the school, ensuring travel in and around the city can be made with ease. The O.R. Tambo International Airport is around a 30-minute journey from the school via Uber and a 65-minute journey from the school via public transport. Uber & Bolt are a recommended means of getting around.
