Learn German & Live in Teacher's Home in Hamburg - Ranking 2023

Hamburg is considered one of the most modern locations in Germany thanks to its culturally-open and international attitude, and it’s here that HLI offers their home tuition programme. The student will live with their teacher in the teacher’s home, where they will prepare and deliver 15 one-to-one lessons every week on any topic that the student requests. This is one of Germany’s most important port cities, so you can expect to see the buzz of constant activity in their harbours. Hamburg has an established reputation for its vibrant nightlife scene, being home to many different kinds of clubs and bars that are sure to offer something for everyone looking to go out and socialise after a long week of study. Your meals will be provided by your host family, which are an excellent chance to engage in conversation using your German language skills. You will have support from the school’s Local Organisers situated in Hamburg itself, who are there to make it easy for students to resolve any issues with their course or homestay accommodation.
With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
