Location: BWS Germanlingua is to the east of the city. It is on the cusp of the Stadtgarten-Viertel neighbourhood, which is home to Grünanlage am Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring Park. There are a number of cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, bars and shops in the area.

Public transportation: 2 minutes by foot south of the school is the Friesenplatz transit station. Here, there are both trams and bus stations. It is a well connected tram station with a lot of lines connecting through it. The closest train station is the Köln West, an 8-minute walk from the school. There are local connections from the platforms and a number of tram lines too.

Major attractions: The centre of the city is an 8-minute tram journey or around 25 minutes by foot from BWS Germanlingua. In the centre, students can visit the Museum Ludwig, Cologne Cathedral and Cologne Chocolate Museum. The centre is on the east bank of the Rhine River and it is possible to reach the other side by crossing across the Hohenzollern Bridge. The Brühl Castle is in the southern outskirts of Cologne. It is a 25 minute bus ride from the school.

Courses: The general use of the German language is taught at BWS Germanlingua in group classes, one-to-one lessons or as a mixture combining the two. Exam preparation courses, pronunciation classes and business lessons are possible electives that can be joined with a general group class.
