Venue: Clic International House in Seville is located in one of the narrow streets of the city’s old town, in the Centro or downtown area. The school is within walking distance to most of Seville’s awe-inspiring monuments, and all three of the UNESCO world heritage sites: the Cathedral; the Archivo General de Indias; and the Royal Alcázar of Seville, are about ten minutes away on foot. The neighbourhood around the school also has plenty of restaurants, bars, small boutiques and big brand stores.

Getting around: The Plaza Nueva is just at the end of the street. From there, students can take the T1 tram line around the city. The Seville–Santa Justa railway station with service by regional, and intercity trains, including the high speed AVE travelling to other major destinations in Spain, is 30 minutes by foot from Clic International House. The Seville Airport is less than half an hour away from the school by car.

Course structure: The school has an array of general Spanish classes, and students can choose between group lessons or private classes. There is a programme for students over the age of 50, which combines language lessons with cultural activities. The school also offers Spanish classes followed by an internship programme or demi-pair experience. The teaching staff at Clic International House can also prepare students for success on the DELE or SIELE exams.

School chain: The name Clic stands for Centro de Lenguas e Intercambio Cultural (Centre for Languages and Cultural Exchange), chosen to express their passion for incorporating cultural experience into language learning. Clic schools have motivated teams of teachers, and are internationally recognised for their quality of education. They have schools in three cities in Andalusia, in the south of Spain: Málaga, Cádiz and Seville.

“Well organised (almost a bit too strict), very good cultural programme.”
“Quite expensive; lots of young people (aged 18-22) at the Seville location, some of whom are not particularly interested in learning.”

“CLIC School is a bright, light-flooded building in the centre of Seville. Cleanliness and friendliness are immediately noticeable. There is a good and positive atmosphere. There are very good teachers at the school - such as Teresa and Ivan, who taught with great pleasure and competence. The office helps immediately with questions/problems - and responds very quickly.”
“The quality of the lessons and the learning objectives depend heavily on the individual teacher.”
Details of the review
Quality of teaching / language progress: Great activities program for 50+.Other comments: Many nationalities and all ages were represented - friendliness (whether office, cafeteria, cleaning staff) was very good, as was the cleanliness of the toilets and rooms. The learning concept is very good. It is also very easy to change courses - teachers and the office are quick to help. This is not a problem at all - until you have found your course, if necessary.

“Excellent organisation, quick decisions in the interest of the student.”
“Excursion programme planning has potential for improvement. E.g. wine tasting for 45 euros without bread at the beginning and between the 4 wines. You don't have to be a wine connoisseur to know the importance of bread at the tasting. As I had eaten and brushed my teeth shortly before the tasting, I asked the head of the organisation leading the group to provide bread, which he refused. So I didn't taste any wine and left after an hour and a half. Afterwards, there must have been something to eat.”

“Range of activities and facilities. One excellent teacher.”
“Although administration very organised and efficient, staff bordered on officious. Apart from one teacher for one additional lesson, who was excellent, teaching was average and uninspired. Predominantly young people in the class who were disruptive and/or disinterested and this behaviour was seldom addressed by teacher.”

“Very committed and competent teachers who quickly establish a good learning atmosphere and friendly contact with the participants. The cultural programmes are well chosen and enable participants to make contact with other course participants quickly. The intensification of the oral learning content in the afternoon was also excellent.”
“There is (almost) nothing. The composition of the course participants poses a particular challenge for every language school.”
Details of the review
Quality of teaching / language progress: Overall a good pace of learning. Personally, I might have needed fewer grammatical explanations. The intensification in the afternoon was good!Other comments: The cafeteria offers very good food. The dining room is admittedly too loud, sometimes too cramped and, during my stay in March, not heated well enough.

“Accommodation excellently arranged, very experienced teachers.”
“It's a pity that beginners weren't distinguished a bit more: all A1 participants together, it's right that there are big differences between them (0 Spanish to A1.2)”
Details of the review
Other comments: Too bad that within A1 no distinction is made between A1.1 and A1.2. Now these levels were together: for 1.1 it sometimes went too fast, 1.2 has mainly repeated.

“Very well organised, flexible with changing courses, nice teachers.”
“Family accommodation - My family consisted of a woman who was only present to prepare a mostly disappointing lunch or dinner that she didn't eat herself. Breakfast consisted of toast with margarine, which I had to ‘prepare’ myself. She crammed up to 5 students into her flat, one in a tiny room, another in her own bedroom which was full of her things. She didn't respect our privacy and went into our rooms when we weren't there. She let her son, who no longer lived there, have a party while she was away. When we confronted her, the school said this was perfectly fine for family accommodation. I would not recommend choosing family accommodation there.”

“Every professor that I have experienced in my two trips has been outstanding and could easily teach at University level. The programme is by far the best language learning programme/school out there. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to study a language.”

Andrea who was our guide in Triana and Cordoba, gave us a lot of information and, importantly, at a pace adapted to older people. I also really liked Albert and Javier. Sympathetic and caring . "There was no breakfast, just a coffee capsule. I bought bread, eggs, butter, sausage, jam etc. myself. At the end of the 2nd week I got sick, it was very cold in the room facing a small courtyard. There was no extra blanket. To get fit, I took a second capsule four times at the end of the second week, then there was no capsule the following day and after that. 16 capsules cost €3.50, so one was €0.22. On the second day there was Nescaffee. I bought 16 capsules of the same coffee for €3.50 in the supermarket. Dinner was around 9.30-10.00 pm and too late for me, it wasn't, so I did without it for the last two weeks and catered for myself. I hardly ever saw Sandra, she had to work a lot in the restaurant. I mainly stayed in the small room of about 10 square metres, where I had breakfast and dinner. The ex-husband, who had already pushed me out of the kitchen in the morning, sat in the living room where I was able to have breakfast in peace last year. From midday until early evening, he tried to persuade English-speaking people to sell for Amazon via the Internet in an extremely loud voice and then, after 3/4 of a year, to earn ten or even fifteen thousand euros, he said. I was very happy when the 4 weeks in Seville were over.

"The accommodation was not really suitable for families, so I was really disappointed. It was run by a woman who accommodated a maximum number of students in her flat, obviously to make as much money as possible. 1 room was tiny, I felt sorry for the student who lived there. 4 students had to share 1 bathroom. Another was crammed into the landlady's own bedroom with a small bathroom, all full of her stuff. She was hardly ever present, only to prepare dinner or lunch (she was flexible with that). Sometimes she slept on the couch in our living room, probably when she was stressed with her boyfriend and didn't want to stay with him on those nights (she had very long and loud arguments with him on the phone that you couldn't help overhearing). It was uncomfortable for me to sleep in her bedroom while she was lying on the sofa. The food was also mostly disappointing. Breakfast consisted of toast and margarine, which I prepared myself. I'm not sure if this is a normal Spanish breakfast? I quickly decided to buy my own. For dinner she sometimes prepared fresh food but often used ready meals which was another disappointment. She didn't seem to respect our privacy and went into our rooms when we weren't there. Once she even tidied the pupil's room in the tiny room without asking, unbelievable! She rummaged through all her things! When this student calmly said afterwards that she didn't like it and would have preferred it if the landlady had asked her to do it herself, our landlady rang the school and the student had to talk to Isabelle about it, how embarrassing for the student who had done nothing wrong! After that the atmosphere was icy. Another strange thing was when the landlady's son, who no longer lives there and whom none of the students knew, had an unannounced party with his friends in the living room until about 1am while the landlady was away. None of us students felt comfortable and it was so loud that none of us could sleep. Also, all the strange boys were using our bathroom - without even sitting down on the toilet seat, of course... I recommend that the school reformulates the term ‘living in a family’ or explains it more precisely to avoid disappointments like mine. I expected something completely different and got none of it. I really loved the school and the teachers, but the ‘living with a family’ was a real disappointment.

"The flat was very nice, clean and had a very good bed. I expected that for the price. The towel and laundry service worked very well – there is a ‘Gem’ in the house who keeps everything under control. Very friendly and pleasant. However, on weekends it is very noisy throughout the night due to extensive partying (my accommodation was on the street side) – and the house is located directly on Plaza Alameda de Hercules. The school is conveniently located about 15 minutes away.

"The room is very simply furnished, but quite clean and that is important to me. Unfortunately there are no storage facilities in the bathroom and even for a week you have to buy your own toilet paper. Overall ok for a short stay and the location is SUPER!

"Great location of accomodation. Basic room with desk, chair, wardrobe and bed. Host was friendly, but did not really seem to be interested in much exchange, which was fine for me in the end. Had quite concrete expectations on "house rules"

Does the school also have an OID number for Erasmus+?
“Yes, the OID for CLIC Sevilla is E10152672. Please note that an Erasmus+ course is also offered.”
Mercedes, Adminstration from clic, Sevilla - Jul 23, 2025
Is there a hairdryer in the school residence room?
“There is no hairdryer in the room.”
Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 05, 2024
Will I be taught Spanish on the 50+ course in an 18+ age mixed group, or does this course have its own 50+ language group?
“As a 50+ student, you will have Spanish lessons with only 50+ students, unless there are not enough students to form a language group for a particular level. Then the 50+ students will be merged with 18+ students who have the same language level.”
Robin Rebecca Pietersma, LanguageCourse.Net - Jan 18, 2023
Is the age of the course participants mixed?
“Yes, the courses are formed according to the level. The age of the course participants is therefore mixed. The average age at the school is around 28 years.”
Tanja, Area Manager German from clic International House - Dec 28, 2022
Will there be a placement test for all?
“If you are a (total) beginner, there is no need to do the test. If you are not a beginner a level test before start of the course is needed.”
Mercedes, Admin from clic IH, Sevilla - Nov 16, 2022

Madly Simba, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 17, 2024
My husband and I (over 60 years old) are planning on visiting Seville for a month or two. We would like to learn some conversational Spanish while we are there. Something less formal than grammar lessons in a classroom Perhaps a group that meets in a cafe a few times a week, walking tutoring, looking at options.
“At present (2024), our partner school clic International House in Seville offers a package of Conversational Classes. Furthermore, this school also provides special courses for senior students in fixed periods over the year. These courses are more relaxed and often combine a set of cultural activities suitable to a more mature age to be enjoyed together with same-aged fellow students and the teachers. We will be happy to assist you. ”
Veronica Romualdi, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Sep 02, 2024
What kind of accommodation does Clic International House Sevilla offer?
“The school offers 3 types of accommodation: host families, shared flats and rooms in residence. ”
Madly Simba, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 11, 2023
Is it convenient to bring my laptop to classes, or does everything go in writing?
“If you find it convenient yourself, you can bring a laptop, but it is not necessary. The school works with a book and so much will be covered on paper. ”
Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 04, 2023
Can you guarantee that accommodation with a private bathroom will be available during my studies?
“We cannot provide any guarantees until we have received confirmation from the school that they have an accommodation option available for you, but we are happy to help you check this. ”
Louise Granath, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Sep 19, 2023
Is the school accesible and adapted for wheelchairs?
“Yes, absolutely! The school is adapted and equipped with a lift”
Mercedes, from - Apr 14, 2023
If I suddenly feel that my classmates' level is weaker or higher than mine, can I change groups?
“If you feel that you have been placed in the wrong level group and your personal progress differs from that of your classmates, you can talk to your teacher about moving to a higher or lower level group or finding some other solution.”
Maksym Sterpul, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 14, 2023
I would like to know about the quality of teaching in Clic International House, Sevilla. What makes it special compared to other schools in Sevilla?
“This school has an individual approach to each student and a good and attentive attitude. All of their teachers are certified specialists in Spanish as a foreign language and, although they are Spanish by birth, they all speak fluent English in case of misunderstandings. Their classes are structured so that students study intensively from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays they have more creative and interactive activities, either a shared conversation class, an interesting outdoor activity, cooking together in a shared kitchen and so on. This school also runs after-school activities 2-3 times a week such as city walks, museums etc. ”
Maksym Sterpul, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 24, 2023
