What we dislike about the school
- Lessons are 45 minutes long, which is shorter than in other schools.
Venue: International House Bristol is located in the bustling and culturally rich city of Bristol, in southwestern England. The school is housed in a detached Georgian building in the residential area of Clifton, around 2km from Bristol city centre. Clifton is also home to several attractions, such as the Clifton Observatory and The Clifton Suspension Bridge. There are many eateries, amenities, supermarkets, shops and links to public transport within walking distance of the school.
Course selection: The school offers a CELTA teacher training course, along with a selection of seasonal junior programmes.
Accommodation: IH Bristol provides accommodation in homestays with local families for students.
Social and cultural: The school has all-inclusive activities and excursions scheduled as part of the programmes for all students. Activities include a street art tour, ninja warrior, and quiz evenings. Excursions can include trips to Bath, Oxford and London on Saturdays.

They have 17-year-olds on adult courses and the number of people that age depends on the time of year but if you wish to attend the course during summer there will be more younger students on adult courses. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 16. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
