What our students said about Medellin
It was a great city experience for us. Between the Metro, Uber's and walking it is easy to find your way around. We always felt safe but we also lived outside in the Guayabal neighborhood. The food and the Uber’s are very inexpensive in our standards. The weather was interesting. Yes, the temperatures are perfect, 65-83 every day and I would say the real feel is ‘comfortable warm’. There are usually clouds in the sky and when we were there it went from raining every afternoon for 1 hour or so to not raining for 4 weeks, to raining again every late afternoon. In other words, you need an umbrella or raincoat at all times but at least it is warm. There are a ton of things to do and see, all very interesting.
I thought Medellín was very nice and I really loved the Metro Cable. It was so fun to go on it. The neighbourhood near the school was very enjoyable. I gave nightlife five stars, but I did not really experience nightlife other than the Chiva. I took Uber everywhere. I did manage to ride the bus two times, but I almost fell backwards out of the bus while getting on because my backpack got caught on the turnstile and I decided it wasn’t safe for me to try again. The neighbourhood where the family lived was really nice and very calm and quiet.
I really liked Medellin. Above all, Poblado is a very nice neighbourhood for going out or simply meeting up with someone. If you take the metro into the centre, it's a different story, but still doable. And a trip to Guatape is of course also worthwhile. The weather is great, always spring-like warm, not too cold at night - and if it rains, then for a maximum of 1 hour. I would definitely like to go back to Medellin.
It's a rich choice for mature people who are disciplined and will keep secure. Careless ones can be robbed, most naive can end their life path here.
Boring in the sense of good for living but uninteresting for travelling. There isn't anything interesting to do besides eating, drinking, clubbing.
Very fun with a lot of activities but you constantly have to be careful. And get ready to never get a moment of silence.
Vibrant metropolis with many surprises - 2 weeks are enough to visit the most important sights
Amazing, really diverse, hip, friendly and felt safe too.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Medellin

The staff were very nice and really seemed to care about the students and how they were doing.
I really liked the staff. Everybody was so friendly and really seemed to care about how the other students and I were doing and whether I liked it. The classes were high-quality. We did have one morning where there was a little bit of drama when we got new students in our level, and we had an exercise that was not very straightforward even for the two of us who had been in the class previously. Everybody asked us for feedback, and everybody wanted to be proactive about doing something to make it better. It was great. They handled it well and the situation was much improved right away.
