Location: Lexis English is situated in the business district of Brisbane, within the neighbourhood known as Frog’s Hollow. The school is in a convenient position, with plenty of activity in the neighbourhood - bars, restaurants and shops line the streets.
Getting around: The Central Brisbane Train Station and the Roma Street Train Station are both walkable from the school, the central station being practically opposite the school building. This makes travelling around the city very simple. Lexis English is two blocks away from the River Brisbane. The river is a method of transportation in Brisbane with a well connected ferry system. The school is almost equal distance from the Riverside Ferry Terminal and the North Quay 2 Ferry Terminal, both of which are within a five minute radius from the school.
Local attractions: Just down the road from Lexis English is Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens. The South Bank Parklands, Wheel of Brisbane and the art museum known as QAGOMA are across the river from the school's locations. Students can either use the ferry to cross to the other side, or cross the Victoria Bridge, which takes around 20 minutes by foot.
School building: The modern design of the building has been created for a maximum learning experience for students using the facilities. There is plenty of natural light, and the furnishings and decor have all been carefully selected for student comfort.

“Yes, it depends a lot on the teachers. Some teachers are really below average and have no interest, some or one teacher was really very interested. It was really fun with him.”
“The lessons on the first day of school were just a test for the students who had been there the week before. So the first day was a lost day. In addition, the school was not prepared for students staying only one week. The teachers are of very different quality, there was only one teacher who was interested in teaching the students. For people who have part-time lessons, no leisure activities are offered. Also, the workshops to further intensify language skills are only offered to students who have full-time classes. Although I had part-time lessons and then had 2 hours of private lessons like a full-time student, which actually earns the school a lot more money, it was not possible to take part in the leisure activities or workshops. I thought that was a shame. I was refused several times when I asked. Feedback from the school was also not requested. Even though I wanted to give it.”

"My host mother was Janette and she was the best! I’m vegetarian and it was her first time cooking without meat and fish and it was so good and she always tried to do new recipes! She also took me and my roommates on a picnic near the beach which was awesome!
