Location: Íbero Spanish School is centrally located in downtown Buenos Aires, in the Montserrat neighbourhood, only a couple of blocks from the Plaza de Mayo and the well-known Obelisk of Buenos Aires. The school is surrounded by four different subway stations and is connected to several bus lines which makes it easy to get around in this sprawling metropolis and discover the attractions of different neighbourhoods, beyond the nearby San Telmo and the city’s biggest green space: the Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur.
The School: Íbero Spanish School occupies the third floor of a French-style building, typical to this part of Buenos Aires, known as Palacio Piedras. With high ceilings and lots of light, Íbero provides a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for students to learn in. The school is run by a team of Argentine women committed to diversity and equal opportunity and who actively participate in the local community.
Learning: The teachers at Íbero are all native speakers, with university degrees. They offer programmes throughout the year at all levels and intensities of Spanish classes. The school is also an accredited TEFL Training Centre. They run their certification course at different times throughout the year and provide students an opportunity to learn Spanish all while training as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language.
