What we dislike about the school
- Average age of students is a bit higher than at most schools. Great for students 25 years or older.
Location: InterBA Spanish Institute Buenos Aires is located in the bustling metropolis and capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires. The school is housed in the Recoleta neighbourhood right in the centre of Buenos Aires. It is a stone's throw away from restaurants, pubs, and the famous 9 de Julio Avenue. The Recoleta neighbourhood is ripe with activities and cultural sites for students to visit. Such attractions within walking distance of the school include the Centro Cultural Recoleta, the Plaza República del Paraguay, Plaza Mitre, the National Museum of Bellas Artes, and the National Library Mariano Moreno.
Getting around: The school is in an area that offers great access to public transport networks. The closest bus stop to the school is within a 2-minute walk of the school's front doors. Ezeiza International Airport is around a 90- minute journey from the school via bus.
Social and cultural: The school views social interaction and cultural awareness as important to students learning of the Spanish language. They regularly gather with students in the afternoon and go to the many parks in the Recoleta area of the city, where students and teachers alike can sit and enjoy having the traditional argentine infusion, mate, or organise soccer matches and practise sports. In November and December, polo matches are often part of the social programme. The school also organises visits to the 3 or 4 most interesting neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires and visits the sightseeing in them.

This program consists of Spanish lessons in the morning (15 lessons per week) and volunteering in the afternoon (10 hours per week). The student will meet with school staff on a Sunday (starting date) in Buenos Aires who will take him/her to the town of Godoy. Transfers from Buenos Aires to Godoy and back to Buenos Aires are included in the price.
Volunteer work: The student will teach English to children, teenagers and adults for 10 hours per week. He/She will also undergo a 3-hour orientation session for the volunteer program.

“I really liked Ludmila's teaching style, which was engaging and conversation-based and adapted to my needs. I started with pretty much zero Spanish and started to feel comfortable enough speaking it much quicker than I expected through this approach to learning. I also liked the excursions outside of the classroom which varied the experience. I also liked the flexibility in terms of organisation too - I did a week of classes and then went travelling elsewhere in South America, but I was able to continue with online classes with Ludmila during this time.”

“I am Hagen Javier from the USA. In 6 weeks I not only learned how to speak Spanish very well, I learned how to formulate my sentences correctly to build upon my time around Spanish speakers. Very well organized, and the excursions every week are a great way to know the city and to know other people.
