What our students said about Buenos Aires
The city offers everything of a big city and is a highlight due to its location, history and culture and also a starting point to other sights (Iguazu, Patagonia, ...). The metro system offers many fast connections within an otherwise chronically jammed city that, like many cities, struggles with traffic problems. The friendliness of the inhabitants is roughly comparable to Berlin, although many people in BA have to deal with the economic situation and therefore have other worries. If you need information, however, Buenos Aires scores well ahead of Berlin. The language course at InterBA prepares you for an easier interaction in BA (manners, peculiarities in BA and practical things like ordering a taxi, best connections from the airports, differences in language and pronunciation in Argentina compared to other countries in Latin America, ...). This facilitated communication and orientation in the city.
A great city. Many people warned me, but I didn't have any negative experiences. There are lots of homeless people and beggars, but they're not dangerous. There are a few places you shouldn't go at night. The people are really nice, all of them. I'll definitely be back again.
Vibrant city, people friendly, but not everyone. I sometimes felt negativity, but that has to do with the poverty of many people, for example the lady who cleaned my room after 3 weeks of stay was very unfriendly.
I found it felt very safe - everything like transport and paying for everything seemed to function surprisingly reliably. Probably a good place to base travelling to the rest of the south of South America.
Wonderful city, have traveled a lot but never been to a country with so many friendly people. Similar to Paris but nicer
Buenos Aires is a colorful, vibrant and wonderful metropolitan city. It’s absolutely great!!!
The city is beautiful, the climate is pleasant, the food is good, and the people are friendly.
It's a very nice city with a lot of things to do. The locals are very friendly.
An interesting, diverse city that is not just about tango and football.
A beautiful city with a lot of history, but also a good place to stay.

I really liked Ludmila's teaching style, which was engaging and conversation-based and adapted to my needs. I started with pretty much zero Spanish and started to feel comfortable enough speaking it much quicker than I expected through this approach to learning. I also liked the excursions outside of the classroom which varied the experience. I also liked the flexibility in terms of organisation too - I did a week of classes and then went travelling elsewhere in South America, but I was able to continue with online classes with Ludmila during this time.
Ludmila is a very friendly person and easy to get on with!

Course: Intensive Course - 4 weeks

It was absolutely the right decision to do two weeks of language school at Academia Buenos Aires. We started with absolutely no knowledge of Spanish, and after two weeks of intensive courses, we are already getting by quite well on our four-month trip. The credit goes to Guadelupe, our Spanish teacher, who is absolutely top-notch! APPLAUSE! We are already considering taking further courses. Incidentally, the language school is in the best location in Buenos Aires, not far from Plaza de Mayo, and there are great, affordable apartments to rent just five minutes away.
I would definitely come back again.
