What our students said about Cracow

Krakow is a very beautiful and cultural city. There is no shortage of greenery: parks, bathing lakes, sunbathing lawns and forests. If you want to get away from the crowds, you have plenty of options. Public transport runs regularly and several times an hour to any location. There are many museums to visit and outdoor activities. The Chopin concerts in the churches are also recommended.

5.0Elisa Germany

I fell in love with the city. I lived directly on the Planty around the Old Town and let myself be enchanted every day anew by the charm and beauty of the Old Town. The Rynek, the Wawel Castle, Kazimierz - but also the trams - did it for me. There are also many great second-hand shops. Cheap and colourful, like in London. The people are relaxed and friendly.

5.0Sarah Germany

Definitely worth a visit, especially because of the German-Polish history. There are also important historical buildings and lots of music (jazz). I can't say anything about shopping.

5.0Gabriele Germany

Tramline outside language school under reconstruction, so necessary to use the less convenient (free) buses to get to/ from town centre. Noise at times caused by construction work

4.0Howard England UK

Superb city where life is good. Very well organized and very practical public transport. Numerous stores open until late hours. Sense of security and calm.

5.0Patrick France

Krakow is a beautiful and lively city where you feel safe and comfortable. Very efficient public transport, very numerous shops open late at night.

5.0Patrick France

Great city on a human scale, with super convenient public transport, beautiful parks, interesting cultural visits (museums....), and more.

4.0Mary-Lise Belgium

A very pleasant city, with lots of green spaces, plenty of inexpensive transport, and lots of entertainment and festivals in summer.

5.0Joelle France

It has become one of my favourite cities after this stay! There are so many beautiful and interesting things to do!

5.0Elisa Germany

The city is really worth seeing. The exhibitions are very well done and convey the themes in an intelligent way.

Information about Cracow

Why Cracow? Cracow, the ancient capital of Poland and the kings´ residence for centuries, was the only major city in the country to come through World War II essentially undamaged. It has an assembly of monuments, unrivalled in Poland and is listed by UNESCO as one of the world's twelve most significant historic places. The city is indeed a visual treat, with the Wawel castle being one of the most striking royal residences in Europe, and the old inner town hosts countless flamboyant monuments.
