What we dislike about the school
- All programs where you receive private classes and live with your teacher are pricier than courses at language schools.
- This program is for students interested in maximum progress in the shortest time. But it is not ideal if you would like to meet lots of people.
School chain: InTuition Aberdeen provides a language learning package with a twist! Each student learns and lives with their own personalised host tutor. Students are matched with a host tutor based on their individual learning style and language goals. This tutor guides them through their own tailor-made English course. Outside the classroom, students will follow the general pattern of the host family’s life to experience how native speakers use their English in daily interactions. There are organised activities with the host tutor that will stimulate the students' use of English in a learning environment. Students can choose from one of the following courses; General English, Professional and Business English, Exam English, academic English courses, or the Youth Learner programme.
Package: The programme in Aberdeen consists of individual English classes, self-study time using InTuition’s online learning platform and a homestay living arrangement. Also included is a complementary level assessment, a 30-minute introductory virtual session with their tutor before arrival, free transfers from the local station, personalised study material and student portal access. There are regular progress reports, and at the end of the course there is a full report and an online certificate of completion. All adult programmes in Scotland include two activities per week, whilst there are three weekly activities included in the Young Learner programme.
Facilities: All the host families provide students with full board accommodation, a private study bedroom and free wifi.
Learning methodology: InTuition’s teaching methodology follows an individualistic approach which focuses on each student’s individual language goals and speed of assimilation. There is greater personal interaction between the student and teacher, building self confidence and allowing students to learn at their own pace.
Tutors: All host English tutors in Aberdeen are interviewed to make sure that they are able to provide a high level service for students. The junior hosts have been police checked, referenced and are fully vetted. There is regular training with the International House Teacher Training Programme to follow current teaching trends.
Accreditations: InTuition Scotland is accredited by the British Council and is a member of EnglishUK.

The famously friendly and diverse Scottish city of Edinburgh is an excellent place to live while you study English, and this is exactly what InTuition offers with its Intensive programme. Not only will you be signing up for 20 hours of expertly prepared lessons every week, but you’ll also live with a Homestay family. Your hosts will see to it that you have a comfortable room and study area in their home, and will provide you with three meals per day and plenty of conversation in English - so your learning never stops from the moment you arrive.
Edinburgh has many historical curiosities such as numerous castles and its Old Town area, which you will likely visit during your two programmed weekly day trips, among other things. These excursions are designed to let you also use your improving English communication skills in a more relaxed environment, as InTuition promotes learning both in and out of the classroom for maximum results.

Visa Documents
Nationals from Spain do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 20. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.

Nationals from countries that require a visa will receive documents from the school, related to booking confirmation, which is required for the visa application.
