Reception and getting to know each other on the first day, another placement test, participants tended to be adults, shared room, city tour and especially great - the cookery course!!! (Even though I'm cooking a lot at the moment), very friendly staff.
Vittoria knows Palermo very well and can tell you a lot about it.

I really enjoyed the lessons. The teachers are very motivated and responsive to the students. There is a humorous and informal atmosphere. I would attend this school again.

Course: Standard Course - 2 weeks
Student age: 36 years

Very devoted, supportive and skillful teachers. Do their most to help us understand and express ourselves in Italian. Spreading a good and comforting feeling at school. We are encouraged to talk about and share our own backgrounds and experiences and compare it with life in Italy and other countries. Small classes with different levels of knowledge of Italian let us talk a lot and practice. Good exercises.

Palermo is a city that often doesn’t receive as much attention as some of Italy’s better-known cities, but there is a lot to appreciate about studying Italian here. HLI’s home tuition programme gives prospective students the chance to take part in an immersive experience in which they study and live in their teacher’s home in Palermo - in this case on a schedule of 15 one-to-one sessions every week.
Getting to know Palermo’s history is a good place to start when exploring, and this is enriched and made interesting by all the UNESCO sites that this city offers residents and visitors. You can expect excellent food almost anywhere you go, thanks to Italy’s pride when it comes to doing cuisine properly. If it’s outdoor activities that you’re looking for, then you’ll enjoy popular beach spots like Mondello, or less busy options like Capo Gallo.
All teachers with HLI possess the necessary qualifications and experience to deliver professional classes, and their homes have been inspected to ensure that students have the environment they need to advance their Italian language skills. If the guest has any kind of issue while on the home tuition programme, they should contact the school’s Local Organiser in Palermo.
