What our students said about Rabat
I love the old town, the sights and the location by the sea. The architecture of the city itself is too modern for me, I think it is rather atypical Moroccan, or I would have liked more original buildings. I thought the size was very good as everything was within walking distance. Wish: A small, original town by the sea!
The best choice if you are visiting Africa for the first time. High level of safety, even for women travelling alone, and a good starting point for excursions into the country. Not very touristy, yet still a tolerant environment. Traditional and modern Western world views seem to coexist peacefully here.
In my opinion, Rabat is a city I highly recommend: it's peaceful, not very touristy, and has a variety of interesting places to visit.
I really liked it, but younger travelers might find it too quiet. It was quieter than Fez.

The school is located in downtown Rabat; the facilities (except for the classroom I was assigned) are decent, it has common areas, and the staff is attentive and friendly.
