A canteen would have been great. This makes it easier to meet new people.

February 2023Fifteen days after Chinese New Year marks the beginning of the Lantern Festival. It is normally held at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial of Taipei and the theme is always the zodiac animal of the new year. The event features thousands of lanterns, traditional lion and dragon dances and Buddhist processions.

February 2023Possibly the most famous and important event in Taiwan, Chinese New Year is traditionally celebrated with parading dragons, acrobatics shows and traditional dances culminating in a giant fireworks show.

10 October 2023The National Day of Taiwan and China, Double Ten, celebrates the uprising against the Qing dynasty on October 10th, 1911. Events include a military parade in front of the Presidential Building while open air and street shows of traditional songs, dances and martial arts are showcased.
