Location: Verbum Novum GmbH Mainz is located in the traditional, wine-loving city of Mainz, the capital city of Germany's Rhineland-Palatinate Land state. The city has a vast history and many notable sites of interest, several of which are within walking distance of the school. Verbum Novum GmbH Mainz is in the city centre, a short distance from many shops, eateries, restaurants and places of interest such as the Kunsthalle Mainz, Mainz Cathedral, the Gutenberg Museum and several sites of historical interest.
Course selection: The school is well-experienced and equipped to teach German to various levels and age groups. In addition to General German, taught over various schedules and intensities, adult students can also take immersive programmes, which include accommodation, Telc Exam Preparation programmes, German for Doctors and medical professionals and much more. Private tuition is available independently or in conjunction with any other programme.
Getting around: The school is centrally located and is only a 200m walk from the Mainz train station and the closest bus stop.
Social and cultural: The city has a great Roman and Medieval heritage, which is visible in sites such as the Romanesque Mainz Cathedral. Mainz University is also very popular, bringing over 30,000 International students to Mainz each year.
Accommodation: Accommodation is available in Homestay and shared apartment facilities. These can be booked in conjunction with a course.

“The excursions”
“The school is badly organized. I studied German at school, so I was already at the A1.2 level. I was told that it would be possible to study at this level, but I was placed in an A1.1 class. I ended up having to change my level (to A2, although without necessary foundations), since A1.2 would only be taught the following week when I would no longer be in Germany! Also, the lunch that was included was in a Turkish restaurant, with only fast food. Although most of the students were Turkish, I and other students were not and we had to eat "plastic" food while we were there. I do not recommend it.”

It strikes me as strange that telc exams are filled out with a pencil. Do you have an explanation for this?
“Telc exams are written in pencil, more precisely colored in (the correct answer), because the scanner that corrects the answer sheets only recognizes the pencil. That's the telc exam regulations, you can't do anything about it.”
