Location: This school is found in the neighbourhood known as Westwood, to the far west of Los Angeles. It is a few streets away from the University of California Los Angeles Campus. The centre of the area is minutes from the school, and there is a thriving epicentre with shops, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and malls.

Public transportation: Whilst everything within Westwood is within walking distance of the school, there are transportation routes to the other areas within Los Angeles. There are direct buses to Hollywood and Beverly Hills, a short walk from Kaplan School. The centre of Los Angeles is just over an hour away, and although there are no direct routes, there are a number of bus routes to take you there.

Local attractions: The Getty is a highlight of Westwood, and 35 minutes by public transport from the school. The Franklin Canyon Park is a 20-minute drive from Kaplan, whilst the Hollywood sign is 45 minutes away by car. The museums, galleries and other attractions within Los Angeles are all accessible by bus from the stations near the school. For those who want to relax on a beach after class, the Santa Monica beach is just over half an hour from Kaplan.

Courses: The school has exam courses for the TOEFL, GRE and GMAT exams. There are also general English lessons, individual and semi-private classes, business programmes as well as year and semester packages.

Social activities: Kaplan puts on an active social calendar for those coming to the Westwood school. There are a number of workshops available on various topics as well as surf lessons.
