“It is very close to the dormitory and there is a supermarket nearby, so it is not difficult to find it, and wherever you go, you easily take bus or taxi. Also important streets like downtown & rainbow is near.”

Insider tip: “Plan more days for things like Petra, Wadi Rum or Wadi Dana. Possibly organize it yourself. Jett drives to pretty much everything, including the border to Palestine/Israel (11 JOD to King Hussein Bridge and then by separate shuttle which costs 17 JOD per person including 1 luggage, 10 JOD when leaving the country!). You can eat pretty well almost everywhere in Amman. On weekdays you can have a relatively good and cheap lunch at school.”

"There were no meals at the accommodation. We had assumed in advance that we would be in a host family.

"We had an apartment at the language school. We have not stayed with a family. The apartment was big enough and clean. The apartment was very cold in the winter. There are two gas heaters, but they do not have to be on for long because of carbon monoxide. We have hardly been in the apartment because it was too cold and uncomfortable, we only slept there.
