- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
Location: The cathedral city of Canterbury is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a recorded history that goes as far back as England’s recorded history itself. Canterbury was the region’s capital during the Stone Age and again in the medieval Kingdom of Kent. It is currently home to three universities, and is a lively, vibrant city. Concorde International Junior Centre Canterbury runs English programmes for young learners throughout the summer months. The Study Centre is located right in the heart of Canterbury, just a four-minute walk from the famed Canterbury Cathedral.
Programmes: Concorde International Junior Centre offers English programmes for kids from as young as 8 years and up to teens aged 17. Their standard junior English programme includes 26 lessons per week. These programmes combine really well for family groups as parents can follow their own study programme, separate yet parallel to the junior programmes.
School Buddies: At the start of the summer period, Concorde International Junior Centre has a very different type of programme as well, which allows teen aged students a unique opportunity to experience school life in the UK: the English Buddy programme. International teens are paired with a motivated local student and they attend school together following the standard curriculum of classes (maths, sciences, languages, art, etc), as well as break time, and extra curricular activities.
Accommodations: Students at Concorde International’s Canterbury Study Centre lodge with local families, many of whom have been working with the school for years. It is also possible to attend Concorde International Junior Centre if you have your own accommodation with a family member or guardian. In that case students can opt for English classes only, or English plus the full activities package, including excursions.

This programme offers students the possibility to experience life in a British state school: they will attend regular classes such as History, Math or Science, alongside a "buddy" with whom they will share the school day, not only classes, but also lunch and break times, sports afternoon and any other extra-curricular activity.
Obligatory charges for students aged 14 years and under:
