Location: Cork English Academy is located in the bustling Irish city of Cork. The school is housed in the city centre, close to the banks of the River Lee and is within walking distance of many restaurants, eateries, supermarkets and attractions, such as several live music venues and the Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral. The school is within a 10-minute walk of the Cork Opera House, Quay Shopping Centre and the Cork bus station.
Course selection: Course selection consists of General English, taught over various schedules and intensities, and Exam Preparation for the FCE, IELTS and TIE exams. Courses can be taken in conjunction with one another, with private tuition also readily available.
Social and Cultural: Cork English Academy arranges several free workshops for its students throughout each week. These workshops can include Business English, Learning Strategies, Board Games, Jobs Club, Films Club and much more! The school also has a vast social programme, arranging several visits to local attractions each week, including trips to many local art galleries, markets and breweries.
School facilities: The facilities of Cork English Academy offer everything a student may need to reach their language goals, in a comfortable and friendly environment. These facilities include a library, computer lab, free after-class access to language learning software, a lounge area and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise.

- Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €50 per course level.

All non-EU students must be enrolled in the Work and Study Programme if staying in Ireland for anything over 12 weeks.
- Individual classes
- Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 60 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

"The house was spacious and spotless. There were no problems with showers or laundry. I wished I could cook my meals!

"Very cold room, the radiator comes on from time to time. They can come into the room when we're not there, I don't know why, and they don't even ask, or warn us when they're coming. Very far from the city center. The food is not good, small portions, no dessert. You can't eat with the host family, so you can't speak English with them. Bathroom used by 3/4 students, not cleaned by some, family doesn't organize schedules to clean bathroom. Animal in cage in the scullery, next to the microwave and refrigerators. Dog smell in the scullery, not pleasant when heating something in the microwave. On the plus side: it's great to have a key for each person to enter the house.

In good theory, classes for the 20+10 finish at 14:00. You can still make it by bus although probably will arrive in San José close to night time. You can book a transfer too.
