Munster is the southern region of Ireland. It encompasses the cities of Limerick and Cork. It is famous throughout the country for its traditional Irish folk music. The province capital is the city of Cork, which sits to the South of the region. The city houses attractions including the Blarney Castle & Gardens, the lucky Blarney Stone and the Fota Wildlife Park. The largest peak in Ireland, Carrauntoohil, is found in Munster. Nestled amongst the MacGillycuddy's Reeks range, the area is excellent for hiking expeditions.
