What we dislike about the school
- Lessons are 45 minutes long, which is shorter than in other schools.
Location: EC English St Julians is located in the charming Maltese seaside town of St Julians. Housed across a multi-storey building in the Paceville area of the city, EC St Julians offers students the best in care, facilities and location. The school is within walking distance of several casinos, St George's Bay and the Portomaso Marina and is surrounded by cafés, eateries, restaurants and supermarkets. Students have all they need to have an excellent time in St Julians whilst achieving their language goals. Malta International Airport is within a 20-minute taxi ride of the school, permitting all arrivals and departures to be made easily.
School facilities: The facilities within EC English St Julians are of a very high standard, offering everything a student may need to feel comfortable inside and outside of the classrooms. All classrooms are equipped with electronic whiteboards, air conditioning and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment. The school's facilities include a computer lab, a cafeteria, restaurant, games room, a library, a lounge area and a Student Support Desk for any questions or queries that may arise.
Course selection: Course selection includes tailor-made courses for students in Business, English for Work, Exam Preparation (FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL), in addition to Academic Semester or year programmes. For all students aged 30+ or 50+, several courses are available to more senior students exclusively, ensuring that all students find comfort and motivation within their learning environments.
Social and Cultural: The school offers a varied social and cultural programme of activities, excursions and workshops for students, many of which are free of charge. Such activities and workshops can include conversion sessions, listening & pronunciation clinics, trips to Mdina and Valletta and much more!
What makes the school special: EC English has a number of interesting extras included with the course: Free Access to Microsoft Office for the duration of the course; Orange Carpet Experience; Sunday Welcome Activity; extra language workshops and activities and access to MyEC from booking.

“Our teacher Rob was very good, big praise!”
“The language levels in the classes are too different. Lots of group work, which was far too loud. The teacher for the excursions wasn't prepared at all - she didn't know the tours, didn't have any material to give out, read up on... You could have done without it - I can read Wikipedia entries on my own. Far too many people in the small classes. It's difficult to learn pronunciation with 13 other students.”

- Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €7 per week.

Lessons may alternate between morning and afternoon sessions. To guarantee a morning start, students must pay the following supplement: - For courses from 1 to 11 weeks: EUR 40 per week.
- For courses from 12 to 23 weeks: EUR 35 per week.
- For courses of 24 or more weeks: EUR 30 per week.
Students who book Morning Guarantee will start at 8:30. The rest of studnets at 9:00.

- Individual classes
- Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 95 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
