What our students said about Istanbul
This city is very impressive! It is buzzing day and night. The cleanliness is as good as I have ever experienced in any big city. You can experience whatever your heart desires. The various services are almost without exception impressively good and of great creativity. The cuisine is also very appealing.
Germany
Great, exhausting, exciting, colourful - Istanbul is something you have to walk around or use public transport. Taksim is the area to go for shopping, eating out, amusement, contemporary witnesses can be found everywhere in the city. Multicultural and open-minded.

Great school! Great teachers! Excellent location. Good attitude towards students and learning process. I especially noticed that the classes are held according to their own textbooks. Significant progress, especially if you do your homework.

The teacher, Mrs. Nurcan, is very competent and experienced, she is also involved beyond the classroom and enjoys showing the students around her city. She is always available for the students and easy to talk to. For my individual lessons, I was even able to choose locations to study, depending on the weather, even in the great outdoors (e.g. Emirgan Park during the tulip blossom season) or in a patisserie over a coffee. I looked forward to the varied lessons every day and learned a lot in the well-structured and prepared lessons. A really worthwhile learning stay that I will definitely repeat next year. Many thanks also for the perfect pre-organization by the agency.

I am very happy with my lessons. In 2 weeks I have improved a lot.
At the excursions from school I did not participate, but I personally didn't need that. You can go or drive anywhere yourself.
I will repeat my course in the summer

Unfortunately RTEC presents its school as something different on the website.
The Istanbul school is located in easy reach when you use public transportation but it's in an old, run down building where everybody smokes in the hallways and rooms. Washrooms might be a shock.
The Istanbul school is very small. 2 rooms and not very intriguing either. Some maintenance would help.
Quality of class - it all depends on the teacher. My first week was good as I had a motivated, inspiring teacher (Banu). My second week was a pain in the neck although I was lucky to get private classes due to low student enrollment but the second teacher was not announced and it hit me surprise. As well her quality of teaching didn't bring me any further.
I recommend a level test for all students so they will be in classified in the right level/class.
For upcoming language studies I won't choose Royal Turkish Education Center anymore and also would not recommend it.
