What our students said about Izmir

4.0

Rating: 4/5

Izmir is very beautiful. However, almost all of historic Smyrna, including its historic buildings, was lost in the fire of 1922, and what remains has unfortunately been left to decay for the most part. Efforts are being made to rebuild the remaining historic buildings according to preservation criteria. This will do the city a lot of good.

It was a really great organisation. I never felt alone. The group fitted together very well. It was good togetherness. We were motivated to speak, which is not always the case with language courses. The host family was a very good choice. I particularly liked the fact that I had to speak Turkish with the family. You get more out of it than if you switch to English or even German. All in all, I was more than satisfied and would recommend this school to anyone.
No matter what age.Everyone feels welcome and the window to life is opened wider.

Rüya and Koray are very good and patient teachers. They made learning Turkish fun! The small group of 5 students was perfect. The location in Bostanli is nice and very well connected, via ferry also to Alsancak and Konak.

Since I took my course during off-peak dates, I had my teacher all to myself. Great! The teaching material is much better than what I know from Germany and I can say that the two weeks were a complete success.
