Located on the southeastern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria has a lot to live up to, once being voted one of the world´s top ten cities to visit, and world number one for ambience and environment. Victoria's equable climate has also added to its reputation as the "City of Gardens". With its mild temperatures and plentiful sunshine, Victoria boasts gardens that are home to many plant species rarely found elsewhere in Canada.
