Venue: Tía Tula Spanish School has a prime spot in Salamanca; they’re located in a cobblestone street heading straight into the historic centre of this city with its many important monuments right on hand. Salamanca is famous for its University which was founded in 1218 and is the oldest Spanish speaking university in the world. The school is two blocks from Salamanca’s two Cathedrals, the New and the Old, which are basically next to each other, and right nearby is the little gem of a museum dedicated to Art Deco and Art Nouveau, the Casa Lis. Though the school is in a pedestrian only part of the city, there are bus stops close by, on the Gran Via, making it easy to get around.
The School: Tía Tula Spanish School welcomes students from around the world to study with their friendly teachers and staff. They offer general group Spanish classes, in combination with private lessons or on their own, and several different levels of intensity, to suit students with varying amounts of time for their studies. They also offer preparation programmes for the DELE and SIELE exams and courses for Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Classes at Tía Tula are small in size and there is a strong emphasis on creating a sense of community among the students.
Getting there: The Salamanca Airport (SLM) is located 20 minutes by car from the city centre and Tía Tula, while the Central Train Station is 15 minutes away by public transport.
