How our students rated their experience in Salamanca
What our students said about Salamanca
Salamanca was awesome! It was big enough that there was lots to do, but small enough that it was easy to navigate and also very safe. The climate was also wonderful – dry but very summery!
I had only seen pictures of the city, so I didn't actually get to know much of it until I got there. It is an interesting city with a lot of history and proud people.
Germany
Salamanca has a very interesting old university and public library to wonder through with amazement, as do most cities in Europe. Salamanca is not near a beach.
Australia
It's a beautiful small city. The only areas I haven't commented on are ones where I've not been sufficiently engaged in to form an opinion.
England UK
I don't like nightlife or shopping. I enjoyed museums, churches and historical sites in the city.
Finland
This is a university town, the people are extremely friendly, and the prices are not expensive.
China
I experienced poor weather for almost a full 3 weeks. It's probably not usual for April.
Canada
Extraordinary from an architectural and cultural point of view.
France
For Salamanca you need more than 2 weeks to get to know.
Germany
It is a great city, I enjoyed it very much!
Austria
Salamanca is really nice and worth a visit.

Very personal care, a lot of communication

Very friendly, competent, helpful teachers and organisers. Very personal support and atmosphere. The focus in the lessons is clearly on communication, but the necessary grammar is also taught. Small classes. Individual allocation to the appropriate level, very flexible.

Ester, Leire and Hester were welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly, encouraging. The lessons were engaging and confidence building. The lessons were never easy, but they were structured in a way that positively supported my learning.
The facilities were appropriate to my needs.
Overall I felt challenged and I think the phrase poco a poco is a good summary as well as philosophy. I would definately go back when time, money and circumstances allow it.
Many thanks

Course: Special Intensive Course - 3 weeks
Student age: 49 years

Everything was in Spanish and they wanted us to speak as much as possible, which helps a lot. One teacher used the first bit of the class to just chat in Spanish about a topic of our choice and that was really helpful just to get a feeling for the language (I was a total beginner when I first arrived).
The teachers and managers were really nice and helpful. In my time there, there was a lot of American students and not to many from other places. But everybody was nice and friendly and I made some really nice friends!
