What our students said about Cadiz

It really is a very beautiful city and the beach is on the doorstep. A lot to see during the day. You can also do great shopping. But why is there not even a little music anywhere. Just tapas bars without music, nothing else. I just lacked the positive mood. I definitely recommend another city for beginners. The Spanish spoken in Cadiz was very fast and choppy and I found the inhabitants to be mostly very unfriendly.

Sabine Germany

It has a fantastic location by the sea with a special climate, lots of sunshine and amazing beaches. It's not quite as hot as further inland. The historic city centre is spectacular. Security is extremely high. The suburbs don't look as chic. There is also a lot to discover in the surrounding area: More beaches :-) white villages, mountains, salt marshes, dunes and the Strait of Gibraltar.

Martin Germany

Cadiz is a charming city, but it takes a while to really understand the charm of this city and the hustle and bustle. Every day you discover something new, exciting, interesting - Cadiz and its surroundings (Vejer, Barbate, ...) are like an onion - and in the end you know why Andalusia is so well-known and popular.

A very beautiful, lively city worth seeing, where I felt safe late at night and in the dark, even as a woman alone, without any problems. The many wonderful buildings, sights and beautiful streets are fascinating, the people are very nice and helpful. I'll definitely come back!

Barbara Germany

Fantastically beautiful city, with a lot of history and beautiful sandy beaches and gardens. There is hardly any overflow of tourists and a constant feeling of security. The city is well connected via long-distance buses and trains, making trips into the surrounding area easy.

Friederike Germany

It is the oldest city in Europe with a very, very beautiful city center and wonderfully located on the Atlantic Ocean, great beaches and waves right next to the center and still in September a lot of culture (music, concerts, dance, especially flamenco, cinema, theater).

Picturesque, clean and safe small town, with little disturbing car traffic! Lots of history, interesting buildings and a nice fish market where you can also eat tapas, in a pleasant location with friendly people. A good place if you like flamenco.

Wonderful for learning Spanish - especially if you live in the old town. Tourists don't get lost here in the evenings. Which means you have to use your Spanish pretty quickly. A wonderful city. Absolutely recommendable! I will be back.

It was amazing, we loved being able to surf as well as walk around the charming old town. Many choices of restaurants and bakeries. We were wowed by the many open squares and parks. It was a great place to attend a language school

There is a lovely atmosphere at this school. The school itself is charming, in the old town, on a very pretty square. The standard of teaching was excellent and the classes were fun. The admin staff were also very friendly and helpful (for example, they organised my taxi back to the airport). Would definitely recommend.

Information about Cadiz

Why Cadiz? Cádiz is the oldest surviving city in the west, and rests in the South of Spain. It has the most well preserved city centre, with delightful squares, narrow alleyways, small palaces and stately buildings. The city's golden dome Cathedral is visible throughout Cádiz and it is well worth a trip up the bell tower to get a bird's eye view! Flamenco dancing is extremely popular in the community of Andalusia and there are plenty of opportunities to experience a traditional flamenco show in Cádiz! Cádiz enjoys a Mediterranean climate and to cool down on a warm summer's day, why not stroll down to one of the city's sandy beaches for a dip in the fresh sea.
