Location: EF International Language Center Honolulu is located in the capital city of Hawaii, Honolulu. Honolulu is tropical and home to nature reserves, unique marine life and dormant volcanoes. The city also offers a modern and international downtown area, the Waikiki neighbourhood being famous for its beachside bars, nightclubs, fine dining and hula shows. EF Honolulu is housed in downtown Waikiki, offering students excellent access to the city and many of its attractions. Just a 5-10 minute walk from some of the neighbourhood's most popular beaches, students of EF Honolulu have everything needed to have a great time within proximity of the school. EF Honolulu is a 15-minute drive or 55-minute journey via public transport from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

School facilities: The school's facilities offer students all they may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable environment. Classrooms have bright and charming modern interiors, are located downtown, with many having views of the Pacific Ocean. These facilities include a cafeteria, a games room, a lounge area, and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating and have ample natural light to ensure an optimal learning environment for all.

Social and Cultural: EF Honolulu regularly organises weekend trips to Maui, The Big Island and Kauai.

As the name of the course suggests, you will work on developing your English in a general sense - this is done by working on Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking in equal proportions, and taking vocabulary from a diverse range of contexts. Students will find it easy to apply what they learn here to academic and professional situations in the future.

The Hawaiian locals are famous for their friendliness and hospitality towards international visitors, so whenever you decide to go for a coffee or a snack around the Waikiki campus, you’ll feel at home.

Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €45 per course level.
Comments about courses

The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:

  • 1-6 weeks: EUR 45,
  • 7-12 weeks: EUR 80,
  • 13-18 weeks: EUR 120,
  • 19-24 weeks: EUR 160,
  • 25-30 weeks: EUR 200,
  • 31-36 weeks: EUR 240.

    Exam Courses (Any Language): EUR 60

    Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).

    Students must book travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Honolulu. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school:
  • Two weeks: EUR 85.
  • Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
    Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.

    Accommodation:
  • The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 55 per week.
  • Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
  • Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.

    Special dietary requirements will cost EUR 50 per week.
    Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
