What we dislike about the school
- Lessons are 45 minutes long, which is shorter than in other schools.
Location: English Path Dublin is located in the south of Dublin, in the seaside neighbourhood of Dún Laoghaire, voted the Best Weekend Destination in the World in 2023. The school overlooks Dublin Bay and is close to interesting historical landmarks including the Cannon from the Crimean War, the Dún Laoghaire East Pier, and the harbour. The area is walkable, with the Bloomfield Shopping Centre just 10 minutes from the school. Surrounding the campus are supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, and easy access to train and bus stops, making it simple to explore both the local area and Dublin city centre.
Public transportation: The Dun Laoghaire Train Station is 10 minutes from ISI by foot. From here there are regular trains into the centre of Dublin. This journey takes around 25 minutes. Alternatively, students can use the bus service which takes around an hour.
Local attractions: Most of the major attractions in the city are located within the centre of Dublin. Students can use the public transportation options to arrive into Dublin and from there either walk or use the services in the city.
Course structure: There are general English group courses, evening classes, academic year work and study programmes, IELTS exam preparation courses and private packages. The private classes can be, in general, English or for business students.
School experience: English Path Dublin provides a modern, welcoming environment where students from around the world can learn English while meeting peers from diverse backgrounds and cultures. To enhance learning, the school organises group activities that allow students to practise English in fun and engaging ways while exploring the city. A knowledgeable and experienced customer experience and academic team are always available to support students with their studies or any personal concerns during their time at English Path Dublin.

“The teachers were very committed and went to great lengths to involve me and cater to my learning needs.”
“The programme was not suitable for me. The school is in the process of reorganising itself and planning 6-week units for long-term students. Basically, it is not planned to only take part for 1 - 2 weeks. My age group is also not (or no longer) included. This information was missing in advance from the school, but also from the agency.”

However, this meant we missed the first lesson, which was a shame.

Other comments: For long-term students it is particularly unfortunate to only ever receive paper copies as study material. A workbook would be better and you could see a better concept. It felt like the topics were mixed up and the common thread was missing.

Other comments: It should be called "Language in Dun Laoghaire" - the centre of Dublin is one hour away ... But Dun Laoghaire is nice, by the sea and it has come pubs ...
The school is good, the host family accommodations - in regards to tidiness - are beneath contempt. It had to be said although normally, the hosts are very friendly and helpful!
Average age around 20, many Brazilians, some Japanese, South Koreans. Besides that, students from France, Spain, Columbia, Netherlands, few Germans (good for me :-) )

Other comments: The multi-bed rooms in the hostel are the right choice for short term students. All who wish to stay longer than three weeks should consider to book an individual apartment, a host family, a hostel or a nearby B & B. The highseason is during the summer month, so the classes are always full. If you like it a mor quiet I would rather recommend to go in spring. You could hardly find any Germans there. I appreciated it a lot, because I was forced to communicate in English though. (The period from June to July, 2013, 8 weeks)
