Japanese language schools that can sponsor a Student visa apply for the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) on the student’s behalf at a regional immigration office. Only schools authorized/notified by the Minister of Justice (ISA/MOJ) are recognized for this purpose. Choosing a certified school provides the possibility to apply for a student visa and therefore take a language course longer than 3 months without interruptions.
