What school directors said about Brighton

Brighton and Hove is one of the most vibrant, colourful and creative cities in Europe. In fact it was voted one of the friendliest cities in the UK!

Stephen Pilton

Brighton is home to three universities and numerous language schools and international colleges, making the perfect place to be a student. It offers vibrant year-round culture, exciting nightlife, and a famous beach, all within 50 minutes of London.

Brighton is a fantastic, diverse and cultural place with many things to see and do all throughout the year.

Most recent student reviews of language schools in Brighton

Bayswater

The school is super central and can be reached from all locations, it is also relatively small, has about 8 teachers and is therefore very family-oriented. There is an extra emergency number, a break room that is used by all students (incl. table football and table tennis) and the secretaries take great care of the well-being and coping of the students. Afternoon activities are always voluntary and a lot of fun! Including jazz pubs, comedy nights, films, laser tag and much more. I recommend it recommend!!! I was there for 4 weeks.

Q&A - Questions and answers about Brighton

  • I think that in your case a good option would be General English. These courses focus on all aspects of the language: writing, reading, grammar, conversation, listening comprehension, etc. A standard course consists of 20 lessons per week, Monday through Friday. More and less intensive options are also available.
  • Lunch is not included in the price. Parents may collect their children for lunch together or provide a packed lunch for the school's supervised on-site lunch sessions.
  • At the time of writing, the schools Loxdale English Centre and BLC International run a junior programme (Winter Program) in the month of January.
  • The minimum required English level to book the IELTS Preparation Exam in Brighton is B1. As an alternative, you can combine General English lessons with private lessons focused on the IELTS exam. Private lessons allow the student to focus on the missing links in their language acquisition or on a particular subject or vocabulary.
