How our students rated their experience in Manchester
What our students said about Manchester
Manchester is a nice city. You're able to visit many attractions on foot and the public transport is an additional benefit which works very well. In my opinion, generally the city is too dirty. There are too many homeless people which is terrible to see if you are not used to it and not familiar with this situation. The nightlife also has two faces. There are many locations to have fun and enjoy the nightlife, but there are also many drunk people who are argumentative. If you see the bigger picture of Manchester, it’s a city worth visiting.
Austria
Manchester has become my new favourite city! There is so much to discover and you experience something new every day. The city is perfectly located and it is very easy to discover other big cities by bus and train.
Germany
Beautiful city! Lots to see. I was delighted and surprised that entrances to museums and exhibitions are free :)
Poland
A pretty, lively city with lots of shops. Certainly not as pretty as London, but pleasant
France
A nice city to study English in (better if you go in summer though)

Hello, I’m Kawá from the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. I highly recommend the Essential English Language Centre where I studied for five weeks. As it was my first time outside of the rainforest, I was quite nervous about studying English, especially in England, but from the moment I stepped through the door, the kind welcome from the staff and teachers melted away my fear. The teachers at the EELC are committed to building confidence in their students and providing them with the skills to flow in the English language. I am extremely grateful to the EELC team, especially, the directors of the school, Jo and Bairb, for the support and encouragement they extend to all their students. Thank you - it’s a five star language centre!
