How our students rated their experience in Paris
What our students said about Paris
Paris is not a clean city and public transportation is not reliable. People are not so friendly on the surface but once they know you they can be very friendly and helpful. Everything is expensive and customer service is not so good. Having said that, this is my 6th time visiting this city and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have come back here so often. So this city is somewhat attractive but I don't know why. I have to come back here to find out.
Japan
For a foreign person who is in a strange place for the first time, a good orientation is always needed, which the school does not provide. It is impossible to enjoy museums, restaurants, nightlife and other important things when nobody explains them to you. You do not know if your life may be in danger because you do not know where you are when you walk or take public transport.
Having visited our son in Paris several times, we have already grown fond of the city and all its facets. We enjoy mingling with the locals away from the tourist crowds, visiting concerts, exhibitions and fine restaurants in the neighbourhoods. There is always something to discover, even if you don't have to visit the Eiffel Tower, Montmatre and Versailles anymore.
Switzerland
Nothing bad to say about beautiful Paris! It's such a delightful city, and the school is wonderfully located, with easy access to everywhere. So many terrific museums, parks, historic places, the opera houses, shops, etc.
Paris is beautiful with the buildings, the streets and the landmarks. However, it is also noisy, dirty, crowded, there is a lot of poverty and the traffic between 07.30h and 20.00h is a disaster!
Germany
La ville Lumière what else to say? Arctic climate, and my wallet was stolen after 1 week, although I was very careful. Food for those who stay there a lot can become a problem.
Italy
It is a lovely city but they have to figure out a way to keep it clean...it is not much fun to walk through vomit and urine smell in the mornings!!!
It's a nice place to stay and visit, but it isn't easy to practice spoken French because too much of the city is geared towards tourists / tourism.
England UK
The weather was very hot, which is not unusual, but particularly if one is an American. One must be prepared for the lack of air conditioning.
Wonderful city: great history and culture. Very good Metro system, but extremely crowded on some lines. I definitely want to come back again!
Canada
A lot to see, a lot of history, beautiful buildings, a beautiful city, offers everything except safety and cleanliness in some places.
Switzerland
Incredible variety within the city, very lively, an inspiration. Fast and active. astounding architectural beauty.
Austria
I don't think I can be objective (so many great memories;)! Paris is simply my absolute favourite city!
Germany
Paris is very much worth seeing and you can always discover something new, even after several visits.
Germany
As I was only there for a week, I can't say much more than that Paris always is a fascinating city.
Sweden
Just wonderful and beautiful, plenty of exciting things to visit, to do and to live.
Germany
Paris is loud, dirty, ugly, but always a great experience. I love this city.
Germany
Cultural centre, friendly, very culinary and artistic, city with esprit
Germany
I lived there, so it was more like going home than traveling.
Japan
The comparison with Berlin was mostly in favour of Paris.
Germany

The one-to-one sessions were particularly good
On the first day, it would have been useful to greet and introduce the students individually. Like, what do you want to achieve in these two weeks. Are there other courses that might be worth looking into? So I just floated along for a fortnight and then was gone....

Information about Paris
Where better to get to grips with the most romantic language in the world than in the picture perfect capital city of Paris. It is a beautiful city to explore and is very doable by foot, with many of the main attractions running along the River Seine. There are lots of museums and historical monuments to explore including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. Food lovers will not be disappointed with over 100 Michelin star restaurants to frequent during your stay. This may not be a surprise considering France's fame around its mouth watering cuisine. Don’t take our word for it, go and visit this magical city for yourself.
Romance is a money making business, with couples willing to spend a lot of money on treating their loved ones. Accommodation options are often small and expensive. Despite it’s romantic connotations, Parisians are renowned for their unfriendliness to tourists. This is especially true for those who do not try to understand their language. This may well be the push you need to practice your French at a faster pace.

I am 55 years old and speak a little bit of French. I love coming to Paris and would like to combine my visit to the city with learning the language. Of course it is no problem to take lessons with young people, but I would love it if several people over 50 participate in the training.“Unfortunately, there are no schools in Paris that offer specific courses for seniors. We can, however, look at the average age of the students in a school and/or find you a combination course, for example: general course + culture/cooking/art. We recommend combining the group course with some private lessons. This way you will learn even more within a limited time frame and the private lessons allow you to focus better on not only what you are already good at, but also on the areas where you could use extra support.”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Dutch Consultant from LanguageCourse.net - Jan 12, 2022
