Biarritz ratings & opinions
How our students rated their experience in Biarritz
What our students said about Biarritz
Biarritz is a very beautiful Basque city whose traditions are recognizable. The coastline to the south exudes a certain charm with its steep slopes and the Côte des Basques is a great beach, but unfortunately only accessible for half a day. The Grande Plage is mainly used for tourist life, where it can get quite crowded in the high season. The weather is not so stable that Biarritz is the ideal place for sunbathing, but the waves there enable a unique surfing experience, which definitely makes up for a little wind or rain. The city is very well connected by buses and offers numerous restaurants.

Prime location. Since I took lessons in the low season, the groups were very small, which is an added value to taking language lessons!

I liked the atmosphere, almost family like. The school building and the yard look absolutely fantastic in the summer. I liked coffee/tea facilities. I liked the fact that the students can just easily talk to tutors, and the tutors were friendly and engaging. Teaching methods were good I thought.

Course: Standard French Course - 4 weeks
Student age: 55 years
The atmosphere in the school was friendly and relaxed. The professor was very competent, thoughtful and willing to listen to the students' interests, including the content. The lessons were demanding but not overwhelming. The school is located near the sea. I liked that very much. I was able to improve my French and my enjoyment of the language increased. I wasn't interested in any afternoon activities, but I assume that surfing, for example, was nice.
