CONTENT OF FRENCH COURSES AND WORKSHOPS:
The long-term course offers a programme with a set class of up to 15 students maximum; this small number allows for more student speaking time and individual attention.
The French lessons within the long-term programme are accompanied by regular monitoring and support from the teaching team and manager. The goal is to ensure that our student’s objectives are met and that real progress is made.
In the morning, students attend general French lessons, in which the four language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) are worked on in the same sequence. In the afternoon, our workshops allow students to work on more specific areas of the language. The different workshops on offer are:
The voice, theatre and phonetics workshop to practice pronunciation and elicit the sounds of the French language more efficiently
– Distinguish two similar sounds in French (homonyms).
– Word pronunciation exercises in French.
– Reading and drama exercises: Working on voice, pronunciation and
intonation.
– Dictations, differences between spoken and written French.
– Games, tongue twisters and improv theater to learn whilst having
fun.
The civilisation/living in France workshop To discover French culture, history, traditions, gastronomy and daily life in France and Bordeaux.
The grammar remediation workshop Targeted exercises designed according to the grammatical difficulties encountered by each student in the French class
The Games workshop Laughter is guaranteed through fun and entertaining games in this French course.
Thanks to the long-term French course, students will be stimulated to speak French on a daily basis and will have the confidence to speak in all formal or informal situations.
