One of the main weaknesses of a more traditional learning format is that students normally don’t continue practising outside of class hours, but with this programme, you will always be able to converse with your host family, as well as be able to ask for clarification on any doubts you might have surrounding uses of grammar, or even regarding the best bus or walking routes to take around the city of York.
One of the first things you will discover in York is its atmospheric and charming city centre, with all of its unique charm. You can expect a curious blend of cobblestone streets, the remains of the Roman walls that surround the city, shopping opportunities, popular eateries and cafes such as Bettys Tea Rooms, and the imposing York Minster at the heart of it all.
Your host family will prepare your daily meals for you, so there is no need to worry about this aspect of your visit. If any other kind of issue arises with your accommodation, the school encourages guests to get in touch with their Local Organiser, which is the nearby agent responsible for making sure that your experience with your Homestay family is going as well as you expect it to.
