What we dislike about the school
- Older students should consider that the average age of students at the school is significantly younger than at most other schools.
Venue: International House Junior Centre Vancouver is run from their main school in Vancouver, British Columbia, a city bordered by mountains and sea, with many green spaces where the local fauna make their home. The school is in Vancouver’s Chinatown, and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. It has easy links to public transport and the International Village Mall is just next door. There are several parks and gardens in the area around the school as well as museums within walking distance.
Alternate venue: During the summer months, IH Vancouver also offers junior programmes on the campus of the University of British Columbia. A lushly green campus right on the coast of the strait between Vancouver, the city, and Vancouver Island, this summer locale provides a great base for outdoor activities and excursions as well as a safe environment close to the city centre.
Future Leaders: International House Junior Centre Vancouver offers programmes for children and teens throughout the year, for individual students as well as closed groups. Their Future Leaders programme focuses on developing leadership skills in their students as they acquire and enrich their English language skills.
