"Administration were very helpful when I had additional requests.
The town is a great location and the school is also well located.
I had three teachers and two of them were good and engaging.
The school provides cheaper access to a lido, which is good. You can also rent a bike at a cheap price, which was very good."
Negative aspects
"Teaching depends on the teacher, and my experience was mixed. While I found, some teachers were very good, but some others were not to my liking. All teachers were lovely, but some teaching techniques were quite old-fashioned and to be honest boring. Others provided a very enriching experience.
During my two weeks stay, one teacher never arrived on time, being at least 5 minutes late while all students were on time. Not great.
Afternoon activities were very limited.
Classrooms are small and temperature can get quite hot. Sitting is not comfortable.
I would have liked the school to ask for some feedback at the end of my stay."

"It is a seaside resort with a long beach with many lidos. Public beach is a little farther but easily reachable by bike. Lots of bars and restaurants and a good nightlife. Very convenient location to visit the area by train. It is possible to quickly reach Lucca, Pisa, Cinqueterre and even Florence.
Viareggio is very flat. Renting a bicycle is ideal for going around."

"Organisation: although it was known that I have knee problems, the classroom was on the first floor and the hotel room in Luana Hotel (third week) was on the second floor without a lift. Plus a Covid student in the flat who we took care of. She was not allowed to attend school, the school didn't care about anything else."

"My friend and I only went for one week it is not long enough to develop the language however I would consider coming back for a longer period and maybe one to one sessions"

"On the first day we were put into the wrong conversation class - it was above our level - but then we were put into a lower class the next day. It must be very difficult to teach in a class with students at different levels and different nationalities. I think the assessment should be given on the first day at school and the student, from the time of application to attending the school, should be given guidance maybe every two weeks until the start of their class. The test did not evaluate my level correctly."
