The atmosphere, the location and the teacher were absolutely brilliant! Christiano made me laugh during the class which was the best way to learn. Other students were very friendly and I met a lot of nice people. Some of the additional activities were fantastic, for example, the wine tasting and the pronunciation lesson.

It is in a great location. I liked how it was formal, but also informal too. There was pressure to speak better but not to the point of feeling uncomfortable
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I had 2 teachers on the course, although both were good, I like my second one much better. She was very enthusastic and broke up the 3 hrs with a lot of things, but not too much to overload us. I found both teaching syles extremely different and at completely different standards, so it was very overwhelming for me to go from one class into another!

On the internet it says that all the classes are in the morning, but you are just as likely to get classes in the afternoon. (Mine were from 14-17h30)

The school should give the pick-up man at the airport at least a map and some preliminary info for us. Also, on the first day of school,it should organize a meeting with all new students to brief them about what to do, what not to do, where to go, where not to go,how the public transportation system works, etc. This would help integrate the students to the school much faster.

There isn't a library which I was surprised about and the Gustolab is closed (I was there Feb - Aug 09) so there isn't really a place to go to do homework or have access to reading materials. However the enthusiasm of the staff and the effort put in more than makes up for this.

Try to continue speaking Italian after class and where you are living to make the most of the experience. The school was centrally located but accomodation wasn't close. The course is well priced but extras (school tours, extra tuition etc) seemed expensive.

I really enjoyed the 2 weeks I spent there. MY only comment would be that I think a little bit of English from the teacher would help, would increase understanding in a much quicker time. Sometimes you just do not understand no matter how many different ways it is said in Italian. Overall I really enjoyed Dora's lessons.
