NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority)

New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) is the body responsible for ensuring that all the qualifications, degrees and diplomas in New Zealand are of a high standard. This, in turn, helps to internationally promote New Zealand as a promising option for those wanting to study abroad.

Requirements NZQA member schools need to fulfill	To be considered for NZQA assessment, organisations must meet the following: - follow the requirements as stipulated by local and National authorities as well as any other organisation as recognised by the Board; - have paid the full amount as requested by NZQA; - provide a registered and accredited service for the public.
Complaint/arbitration procedure offered by NZQA	Any complaints that a student has regarding a school that has been registered with NZQA must first be internally addressed with the school themselves. If a solution can not be resolved, then the student can download the complaints form from the website and send the completed form with any supporting evidence virtually or physically to one of the following addresses; The Complaints Officer, Quality Assurance Division, PO Box 160, Wellington 6140. Any guarantees for students in case of bankruptcy of a language school associated with NZQA	NZQA is not responsible if a school offering NZQA accredited courses should go bankrupt. NZQA is involved in the registration of Private Training Establishments (PTEs) and one of the registration requirements is that the PTE have a Student Fee Protection (SFP).
