The exams Diplome d´Etude de Langue Francaise / DELF and Diplome Approfondi de Langue Francaise / DALF are the most relevant language tests for French. The exams are organized by the French ministry of education. The DELF exam consists of 6 parts. After passing the first 4 you receive the first degree and after passing the last two you receive the second degree. The DALF exam is based on the DELF exam and is needed if you want to study at a French university.
