Why Sapporo? Sapporo is the capital of the mountainous northern Japanese island of ...
Hokkaido. The city is a dynamic urban centre that offers everything you'd want from a Japanese city: a thriving food scene, stylish cafes, neon-lit nightlife and shopping galore. What our students said about Sapporo

Rating: 5/5

Weather ok now, really cold in winter and lots of snow! Sapporo itself is easy to explore, but after three weeks it is no longer sooo interesting in the city center.

Rating: 4/5

Very quiet city (although 2 million inhabitants)

The good mix between learning and leisure. You learn a lot at school, but still have a lot of time for other things.
Very good school. You make friends very quickly. The cultural activities are sometimes a bit expensive for what you get on offer. And sometimes certain activities are badly organized (especially the free activities). But all in all, I had a great time at school.

I loved the teachers and the classes.
I haven't experienced the course at the Japanese Language Institute of Sapporo as a very fast paced course. I still had a lot of free time which I really enjoyed! I was able to make many friends and have a lot of time to hang out with them while enjoying my stay in Sapporo.

The teachers are very enthusiastic and the lessons are always interesting. There is always a mix of talking and theory classes, so that is very neat!
