Location: EC English London is located in the cosmopolitan and historic English capital city of London. Housed in the trendy neighbourhood of Islington, known for its eateries, local pubs and community feel. EC English London is a 2-minute walk from Angel Tube Station, which is a central station on the well connected Northern Line. St Pancras International Train Station is a 20-minute walk from the school entrance. Students have several of the city's attractions within walking distance including Russell Square, the British Museum, the Charles Dickens Museum and the British Library. The centre of the capital is only a short trip using public transportation ensuring that Buckingham Palace, The National Gallery, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey can all be visited easily. The school is within easy reach of all London's international airports.

With the General Course at EC English’s academy, you’ll come in for 20 dynamic classes every week (15 hours in total). Groups are available from the Beginner level all the way up to the Advanced levels, and your group placement will be determined by a test before you get started.

Having 15 hours of study per week is ideal, as it’s more than enough to make considerable progress in a relatively short period of time, but also gives you the chance to take in the world-famous city of London, and enjoy everything that it has to offer residents. “The additional module "English in the city" was not what I had imagined. It was simply additional lessons, the name "in the city" suggests otherwise.
I was used to lessons in the morning and free time in the afternoon from other language study trips. At EC English, you have at least two days off a week in the morning and lessons in the afternoon. This is unfavourable both in terms of concentration and the rest of the day.
There are too few toilets in the school.”

Other comments: the accommodation would have been fine if the management was able to say for themselves that the choice of these light awnings are not good in the east facade. I was up every morning before 6 am, without being able to go back to sleep in full sun. Just say "we made a mistake, we will find another type of stores".

Other comments: I did not like that our teachers changed constantly. In 10 days, we only had the same teacher twice. I found the school crowded with people, 150 students during my stay, and thus it is very difficult to have a close relationship with other students.

I would like to ask is it possible to determine how long do I need to master one level. For example I'm on B1 but would like to be on B2. I found one option in ES School in London where is an intensive programme, 40 lessons per week. Is it really possible to learn something in such a short time? But then one level is even possible to achieve in 1 month?

Nationals from Italy do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 16. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
