Location: El Rincón del Tándem is located in the Spanish coastal city of Valencia. With its beautiful beaches, thousands of students and ultra-modern City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia is a fantastic choice for students looking to further their understanding of the Spanish language whilst having a memorable time. Housed in the heart of Valencia, in the vibrant Russafa district, El Rincón del Tándem is surrounded by cafés, restaurants, shops and bars. Attractions such as the City of Arts and Sciences, Park Gulliver and the expansive Gardens of Turia, are all within walking distance, with the golden beaches of the city's coast also only a short bike ride away.
Accreditations and Associations: A school that is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes for the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, El Rincón del Tándem uses a method of teaching that promotes the practice of a student's knowledge in real-life situations.
Additional information: After studying and practising in a classroom environment, students are encouraged to partake in daily situations and conversations throughout the city with local people. This design and method of tuition are aimed to assist students in realising the difference in expressions, accents and vocabulary that are encountered throughout Valencia.

“It was horrible experience that I didn't get any information the host family house before I arrived in Valencia. The Agency have contacted the school but it did not get any feedback from the school. The agency said that the holiday in Spain so didn't have any feedback even contacted emergency number in owner of school.
Honestly, I totally did not understand situation because normally, I informed the Angency to study En Rincon del Tandem before a holiday and the angency noticed the school before starting a holiday.
Reason of completely confirmed late to me, It was taken time to find out the host family to understand my problem that I have an urinary urgency. Last informed the agency, the school found out the host family to understand my problem .
But the worst thing that, it was different the host family when I arrived in school first day and even, the host family did not get any information”

- Generally, course material has to be purchased by all students at the school. The costs of course material will be approximately €25 per course level.
- Comments about courses
Material costs: the students can choose either to buy or rent the textbook. They can buy the textbook at the school (EUR 25), buy it online at a slightly cheaper price (around EUR 21) or rent the book at the school (EUR 3 /week).
The school does not offer extensions of courses. If students would like to take extra weeks, it will be handled as a new booking.- Individual classes
- Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 35 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

"Because of my special need diet I chose to eat out every day, and did not eat with the family. The two times I ate the home made meal, the food was very good. The location was very nice, quieter part of town, close enough to the Turia park and the Museo de las Ciencias. A little walk to the school, it took about 30 minutes, but the bus stop is just few meters from a bus stop if you would rather do that. The building, apartment were very nice and clean. Family very friendly and quiet.

"I stayed the host family house included breakfast and dinner. But I usually ate dinner and breakfast alone and the food was not delicious to me.
The more issue was that the night was very cold and the blanket was not clean so I wanted to change it. After that, they changed to me but it was not good enough heating inside room. there is no eletronic heat so I caught a cold now.
So I didn't want to stay at house so during the staying, I stayed other accommodation to avoid freezing the room. However, the host family had weird looking to me that why I came back home in the morning that not had a sleep in the room.
I really wasn't stayed in Valencia any more that I planed there at least 2 weeks because there are a lot of bad memory to me.

"The accommodation was significantly less good than other homestays I have had when studying with other language schools in Salamanca and Barcelona. The family was extremely hospitable, but the household was too full of people and the result was that we all caught an unpleasant virus which spread among us unavoidably.

“We cannot guarantee the morning schedule. The schedule depends on the availability of the school. Lessons can be in the morning or in the afternoon.”

If school is closed due to a local holiday, will these class hours be made up?
“If you missed a class day due to a local holiday, you may finish the course one day later. For example: if the first Monday of the course is a holiday, the course will begins on Tuesday. Friday would be the official end date of the course, but due to the public holiday students can recuperate that missed lesson on the following Monday. ”

We have somewhat different language levels, so I assume we will end up in different groups. But I hope those classes take place simultaneously (preferably in the mornings), so we can spend the afternoons going out together.
“El Rincón del Tándem cannot guarantee (far) in advance that you will be assigned to groups with the same schedule. They give classes between 10:00 - 14:00 and 16:00 - 20:00. It depends on language levels and teachers how the groups are assigned. Often this is determined on the first day of the course. If this is an important request, please contact us.”
