"I really enjoyed my time at this school. It's important to note that every month, we change teachers and classes. At first, I had a little trouble adjusting. There were about eight or nine students in the class, and the teacher spoke very quickly. I didn't always have time to write down the exercises, and we quickly moved on to the next activity, which made the first week quite difficult for me. The following month, I changed classes and the situation was much better. There were far fewer of us, which allowed the teacher to take the time to explain things. I finally had time to write down the exercises, whereas in the first class it was difficult: I didn't have time to write anything down before we moved on to the next exercise. Despite these differences, I learned a lot and really improved my speaking skills. The teachers are very kind, attentive, and caring."

"The teachers and reception were very friendly and helpful. The lessons were pleasant and they tried to explain in Korean. There were also many exercises where you spoke Korean with the other participants."

"Personally, I would have liked a faster pace. All topics were practiced in detail and it was very easy. But that can also be an advantage depending on your goals."

"Seoul is very large and diverse. There is a lot to see and do. You can get almost anywhere quickly and comfortably on the subway. You can eat well and cheaply in restaurants. However, it is extremely hot and humid in summer, so sometimes you can only stay indoors."

"The school has a nice facility located in sinsa easily accessible by transportation, the teachers are very qualified, and the progress in just 5 weeks is remarkable, I started from zero and managed to get to a point where I can do simple conversations or written texts in Korean!"

"I liked the fact that the communicative approach prevailed. The rules of grammar and sentence construction were explained in detail and clearly. Teachers always gave suggestions on how best to express an idea so that it sounded natural. The atmosphere was friendly and conducive to learning. The only small disadvantage: there are a lot of written tests. Perhaps it would be more logical to replace some of them with oral ones."

"There were no extra activities other than studying. Maybe there weren't meant to be. If so, it would be great if a couple were added."

"Small group. Clear instructor who was very good for me in terms of structure and personality."

"If I wanted to do another language course, it would be nice to do it with people from Europe. In my group there were more people from Japan who have an advantage because the Korean language is tangential to the Japanese language. I also had trouble doing the exercises with them because they spoke no English and super softly."

"I have been there 3 times now. It is getting more crowded and I notice that there is more and more clutter on the streets...probably due to tourists. For the first time I've been bothered that I find Seoul too crowded and that people are very much on their own...making contact is difficult that is in every country I think. Did have a very nice contact with a Korean woman who had lived in Nedetkand for 10 years. She heard us speaking Dutch and spoke to us. With her and her daughter we made another appointment to chat and drink coffee. It was very cozy."

"I did level 2 for 4 days. Then stopped. The teacher didn't speak English and for me the talking was way too fast. It stressed me out. I could not decipher her handwriting fast enough so I was already 1-0 behind. In consultation with the manager I went to level 1. I would have liked private lessons, but unfortunately that was not possible. I have had good experiences in level 1. A very good teacher."

"The class size is just right, usually around 6 to 12 students, so everyone gets a turn and you can't hide. The teachers are very nice and try to explain everything in Korean, only in exceptional cases is something said in English. You are gently ‘forced’ to speak and make up your own dialogues, which is very good for getting the courage to speak yourself. I quite liked the textbook, but you should probably have some previous knowledge, then it's easier to keep up and you don't feel overwhelmed. I wasn't there long enough for the afternoon activities (2 week course), but I think if you stay longer, there will definitely be some great activities."

"I can't say anything negative... Everyone always made an effort to ensure that everything ran smoothly. At the beginning I was a bit confused about which course was right for me, but that was sorted out."

"Seoul is huge! You can't explore the city in one holiday. You should get tips from the academy on where to go, otherwise you will get lost in the city. If you are travelling alone, it is sometimes difficult to get a table when eating out, but you will definitely find something a few doors down. You'll need a second suitcase for the return journey because you've bought so much stuff ^^"

"The staff is very nice and responds immediately to requests. My teacher gave very good lessons. I already knew a little Korean and was able to improve my pronunciation through her."

Negative aspects

"I was placed in Level 1 after the test beforehand and after an online meeting. That means you start with the Hangeul alphabet. But I already had A1-2 (according to the international standard). So the first week of the course was really just repetition. I brought this up at school and was immediately offered a higher level. I didn't change because the level seemed too difficult. I was only at the school for 2 weeks. If you already have basic knowledge, you should look carefully at which course suits you. For me, everything was good in the end and I am satisfied."

"The room is small!!! It is only meant for sleeping and studying. If you are in Seoul, you should spend as little time as possible in your accommodation anyway. The shared kitchen is quite well equipped. Many rooms have private showers, but not all. Everything is very anonymous. You have to make an effort to get to know people. The best way to contact the accommodation management is via KakaoTalk. That was the quickest way."

"Constant good follow-up by teachers. The team was good motivating students, with great teaching methods. At the end of my stay, I acknowledged perfectly the basics of the language. I enjoyed the dialogues teacher/student. It was an effort to speak, but the best way to learn."

"In my point of view, the conversations between students don't add up as we are still doing a lot of mistakes (grammar, structure, etc.). I would have liked to work 4 hours a day instead of 3, in order to put into practice more of what we learned."

"I sincerely loved this school, the teachers and all the administrative staff are very friendly and always ready to help you. I spent 4 months in this school and the progress I made is incredible, I didn't know anything about Korean except Hangeul but today I manage to discuss simple things with people and it's really very pleasant!
